And he's home!

Rudy's groomer brought him home a bit ago.  He looks like a different dog, truly he does!  He was good for her for the most part.  She said he kept trying to bite the clippers cord!
Anyhow, he looks like he's about 10 pounds lighter today than he was yesterday.

He barely looks like Rudy!  He's all grown up now.

Rudy was happy to see me, but he wasn't happy when Mariah and Trinity left him.
Mariah said she had a little girl there who was about Rudy's size and the two of them  had a lot of fun playing together!  It's good that he's learning to socialize with other dogs too.

Look how white he is!  He's going to be so much happier in this hot weather without all that fur!

So we are going to have Mariah groom him once a month for the next 6 months or so and that should get him used to being groomed.

Yes, he might look a little ragged around the edges, but considering he's never been groomed before and this was all very new to him, I think he looks great!

And it's very good that he's laying here next to me where he belongs, the house didn't feel quite right last night with him gone!

He's so naked!!! LOL. Every time grand -Dog Hugeaux gets groomed he looks naked to me. He is a cavalier King Charles spaniel and he is supposed to have wispy longish hair. But they keep him trimmed close and his beautiful ears are shorn short! I tell him he looks so silly.

He usually comes to me long, so he can rough house with the bassets and get sloppy dirty. That way he can go to the groomers directly from Grandmas and get clean before going home.
