Just when I thought it was safe to turn off the heat...

It's cold again!  Such is life I suppose, but I sure will be glad when I'm not cold all day long.

Yesterday I was able to get started on cutting out the first quilt for my granddaughter.  I was  hoping that I could get more than one block from each fat quarter, but that's not going to happen.  :(  That means that there will be a couple of doubles, but I figure if I vary the centers, then they won't look so much alike...???

The fabrics for the first 3 blocks.  Since I decided NOT to use the flowered fabric
for the centers, I matched up the different fabrics with different center colors.
I think these 3 fabrics go well with this color for their centers

The two lighter colors looked a lot alike in the pic, but here you can
see that this one has a beige background to it....

And this one has greenish background to it.

On Friday, it never really got warm out at all, maybe into the very low 50's at best.  And we had rain, then sun and more rain... But we did have hail and a deluge of rain and the wind was really windy!
And the clouds were dark and light and then dark again!

The hail, wasn't huge, and it didn't come in inches, but for use
hail is fairly unusual to have happen.
Looking across the pasture that is in back of me...
I love stormy weather.  At one point we had thunder, hail and
huge winds!
And we has an almost pretty sunset right after the hail!
See all of Rudy's toys in the yard getting hailed on!
Poor Duck Duck!!  Duck Duck has been left for Mr. Pepper,
the green pepper shaped toy... Rudy is so fickle!!!

I'm hoping to actually get one of those flowers put together today.  I loved the Swoon pattern by Thimble Blossoms, and then there was the triangle HopScotch from Thimble Blossoms that was HARD but I persevered and got the top finished! I'm hoping that this one will be easy like the Swoon was.  But we shall see!  I also tried her On a Whim pattern and found that one to be VERY VERY difficult.  So I guess I will find out quickly!  (and I'm really REALLY wanting to try Fireworks by Camille too, really wanting to buy that pattern!!)

I hope everyone has a blessed day today.  God Bless,  Anne
