It's all about learning... isn't it?

Today was hot and HUMID.  And it rained a little, enough to get my glasses wet!  But in the grand scheme of things, not enough to count.  :(   Did some Monday running around our little town.  Had a bite to eat at TJ's. And came home and did collar things.  And tonight I have been sewing!
I finished cutting out all the little blocks for ONE block of the single girl.
AND I sewed one fourth of a block!  Each block is actually 4 blocks.  So hey, it is what it is!  But here's pictures...

Ok, I sewed 8 of the little pieces together.  (A through H) and then pinned it to the "inner" piece of the block.
And for a gal who HATES pins, this one will use a ton of pins.
So there it is, all pinned!

And here I am sewing it together.
And I must be doing something wrong, cause it's not all that hard.......

And here it is, all ironed and CURVED!!

And here's the top piece all pinned.  Again, a TON of pins!

And here's the block, all ironed.
Is it perfect?  Nope, not at all.
Do I care?  Nope, not for a "first" block.

I most likely will replace this block and make a new one for the first fourth of this square.
I can't find in the instructions how big this 1/4th block should square up to.  Hum... may have to find that one out!

But there you have it, my first curved block!

And now Miss Whiney Pants is making me nuts, she MUST go out, it's 8:30 and habit tells her that I am 30 minutes late letting her out!  Sleep well all, God Bless, Anne

We certainly understand about the clock thing in a dog's head. Somehow we have gotten into the 3 o'clock bone habit. Not sure how, but their timing is dead on.

I think your curved piece is good. Curves are fun, and mine, for the MOST part, lay fairly flat. Although the ones from the block lotto this month are not laying flat at all.
